Official: Bayern Munich beat Chelsea, Arsenal to the signing of James Rodriguez

James Rodriguez has completed a two-year loan move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich with an option to make the loan permanent. 

James joined Madrid after a fine 2014 World Cup with Colombia, where he finished as the top goalscorer of the competition. 

Bayern Munich confirmed the 25-year-old will sign his contract once he complete his medical examination. 

Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says, ''signing James Rodriguez was our coach Carlo Ancelotti's biggest wish, following their successful spell working together in Madrid.''
