Madrid beat Barca to the signing of midfielder

Real Madrid have beaten Barcelona to the signing of Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to Marca.

Madrid have been in contact with Betis for the midfielder before the end of last season, and now have struck a deal with Betis over the last 24 hours.

The deal was believed to be worth worth €18m - €3m more than Ceballos' buyout clause.
