Marcelo on Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid: 'Many things said in the press are lies'

Marcelo says he is not worried about the rumours saying Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid as 'many things said in the press are lies'. 

Report from Portuguese media said Ronaldo wants to leave the Bernabeu after accused of €14.7million tax fraud. 

"Of course I speak with him," Marcelo is quoted by ESPN as telling Brazilian programme Noite dos Craques.

"I am not worried. Many things said in the press are lies. There is no reason for me to be worried.

"Cristiano knows what is best for himself.

"As a friend, not just as a teammate, whatever decision he takes this year, next year, or in 10 years time, I will be there to support him."
