Karim Benzema out for three weeks

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema could be out for three weeks after picking up a hamstring injury during the 1-1 draw with Levante on Saturday afternoon. 

Benzema limped out of the game with just 24 minutes played. 

Los Blancos have since confirmed “an injury to the semimembranosus muscle of the right leg” for the striker and that “his recovery will continue to be assessed.”

The France international could miss Madrid's Champions League match against APOEL next Wednesday, according to AS. 

In the worst case scenario, the striker could be unavailable for all six of his side’s remaining games before the international break at the start of October.
