Cristiano Ronaldo is "sad" but "needs a days to reflect on things," his close friend Luis Campos, who once worked as a scout for Real Madrid during 2012/13 campaign.

Luis Campos, a compatriot of Ronaldo’s, who worked as a scout for Madrid during the 2012-13 campaign, spoke to French broadcaster TF1 about the Portuguese’s current situation.

“I think for now, Cristiano needs a few days to reflect on things,” Campos told French broadcaster TF1.

“He told me that he needs to reflect, it’s normal. Cristiano will have time to make the right decision, I’m convinced of that.

“The situation at Real Madrid right now is a bit tense, but that’s normal too.

“He’s sad about what’s happening at the moment, he’s a man who’s very focused on his work.

“No-one can think that it’s Ronaldo who fills out his tax returns.”
