Zinedine Zidane on Madrid transfer: Anything can happen until August 31
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane remained coy on the club's future transfer activity this summer despite linking with several strikers following the departure of James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata.
“Anything can happen until August 31, but I am not asking for anything so headlines wrong,” Zidane told reporters after the penalty shootout defeat to Manchester United in pre-season had concluded.
“Until August 31 anything could happen, a player could join us or could leave us. But at the moment we are happy with what we have.
“I am very pleased with this game, the first game we've played since Cardiff. It was a complete match for everyone including the kids who came on in the second half.
“I am satisfied as we had no injuries, they are all good, and that is the most important thing for us at the moment.
"We are preparing for August 8, that is our objective at the moment. We want to reach that game (European Super Cup) in the best form possible."
