Arsenal interested in Real Madrid starlet

Arsenal have reportedly joined race to sign Real Madrid youngster Marcos Llorente after being told by Madrid that he is free to leave.

The midfielder is yet to make his way into Zinedine Zidane's first-team team, and it now looks like his nine-year spell with Los Blancos is coming to an end.

La Liga clubs Sevilla and Atletico Madrid have both been tipped to make a move, but Spanish outlet AS suggests that Arsenal have also shown an interest.

Arsene Wenger reportedly wants to add more quality to his midfield ranks and has identified the 22-year-old as a possible summer target, with less than two weeks left to get a deal over the line.

Llorente, who has three senior Madrid appearances to his name, spent last year on loan with Alaves in the Spanish top flight.
