Sergio Ramos: Hopes Ronaldo's red card is appealed
Sergio Ramos has expressed his concern over Cristiano Ronaldo's red card and hopes it would be appealed.
Ronaldo was shown a second yellow card two minutes after putting Real Madrid back in front which he received first yellow for taking off his shirt to celebrate.
The Portuguese was accused of diving after going down under pressure from Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti.
Ramos, whose side won the game 3-1 , told reporters: "I was far away, but I think it was a piece of play in which [Ronaldo] lost his balance, rather than feigning anything.
"It could be appealed. Sending off a key player with 10 minutes remaining of a Clasico in which we've given our all is something which needs to be evaluated and thought about."
Ronaldo went on to push referee Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea before walking off the pitch, an action that earn him a five-match ban.
