Zidane: Ronaldo "ready to play" Against Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo is available to play in today's UEFA Super Cup against Manchester United, according to Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.

Ronaldo returned to training last weekend after being given an extended break following his participation in the Confederations Cup with Portugal. 

When asked about whether the 32-year-old will play, Zidane told reporters: "He's relaxed and physically he is as fit as he was on the day of the final two months ago. The fact he is with us means a lot. If he's with us, it's because he is ready to play. Tomorrow, we will see if he plays or not."

Ronaldo has been linked with a return to his former club United earlier in the summer after he was accused of tax fraud by the Spanish authorities, which led to suggestions that he wanted to leave Madrid.
