Zinedine Zidane Responds To Jose Mourinho Claims He Want To Sign Gareth Bale
Zinedine Zidane has refused to give any direct comment on claims made by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho claiming he would "fight with other coaches" to signing Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.
The former Real Madrid boss told media during his pre-match press conference ahead of today's UEFA Super Cup that he will try to sign Bale if the Wales international becomes available.
Mourinho believes that the 28-year-old's future will become clear depending on whether or not he plays against United in the Super Cup.
When asked about Bale, Zidane told reporters: "What's important is he is well and, on top of that, he's had a a lot of continuous training sessions with us.
"At the end of last season, it was not easy for him as he was almost four months out of the team with injury. Now he's very well and very concentrated. What interests me is it's not important what has been said, it's what we are going to do tomorrow (today)."
